SuperFormula League – F1 Liveries as Football Kits

Oh, this is the kind of thing we like. F1 liveries plus fantasy football kits? Yes please.

Livery designer extraordinaire¬†ajokay¬†has set his brain to the task of coming up with kits for fictional football teams based on the current F1 grid. At the moment he’s only done Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull, Lotus and Mercedes, but hopefully he’ll get around to the rest of the grid eventually as well.

I particularly like the thought he’s put into the various away kits – such as orange for McLaren, or the fact that Lotus is based around the early ’80s Toleman livery (Toleman being, of course, the very first incarnation of the Enstone team).

Having the squad numbers be in the same style as each team’s current on-car race numbers is of course another excellent bit of attention to detail.

Check out ajokay’s blog for more of his excellent stuff.

(And yes, I did mean to post about these when they first emerged back in June, but didn’t get around to it. Sorry. You know how things get around here in the summer months. More Actual Content to come soon, though!)
