We don’t want to say “we told you so”. But we did tweet this in February:
Really excited to see what Haas' livery will be in the second half of the season when Rich Energy have disappeared
— F1 Colours (@f1colours) February 3, 2019
So yes, the Rich Energy / Haas saga is finally over. And actually over this time, unlike the false start earlier in the season. Rich Energy’s logos will no longer appear on the Haas cars for the remainder of the 2019 season, and it’s safe to say we’re unlikely to see the brand in the sport again. A fact to which we can only say good riddance, frankly.
At the present time it’s not clear whether the team will drastically change their livery ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix later this month, but the likelihood is that they’ll simply remove the logos before making a fuller change for the 2020 season.
But in the meantime, if Haas want a new sponsor to put on the car for the rest of 2019, maybe a deal could be struck with Whyte Bikes…?
