A “Brawn GP insider” writes…

Disclaimer : I have absolutely no idea about the legitimacy of the source this came from, but since it showed up in a recent comment, I couldn’t resist publishing it in case it does turn out to be true – because if it does, then we’ve had a genuine scoop! If it doesn’t, just bear in mind that I warned you to take it with a pinch of salt. Anyway, “Brawn GP insider” stopped by to say :

Brawn GP will soon have a proper livery. All I’m saying is Monaco could be considered a high profile location to launch a major new sponsorship deal. White, red and green. I’ll say no more. Spread the word.

Make of it what you will!

I can’t see it happening, that could have been any old prankster. It would be good if it were true though. The only green, white and red car I can think of in recent years was the 2004 Jaguar, which I like. But I don’t expect to see Brawn launch a proper livery until they have a new title sponsor, and that isn’t going to happen any time soon with the current budget cap row.

Actually the livery will be pink, brown and orange…

No, it almost certainly can’t be true, I’ve just read on Autosport that Brawn won’t be signing a title sponsorship deal in the near future, so Monaco would come too soon for that. I just can’t wait for 2010, hopefully then the new teams will create some proper liveries, ‘cos the 2009 ones are all boring and white

It’s Monaco weekend and they don’t have a new livery yet, so… I say your source is unreliable.

It’s a shame we still haven’t got a new Brawn livery yet. I thought this might be the one season where F1 colours would have stuff to write about mid season. Having seen the new cars and liveries for 6 races now I would say…

-The new Williams blue is definitley lighter than it was last year
-The updated Renault livery is miles better without the blue (I think people criticise it so much because the car is ugly- here it is on the nicer looking 2008 car…
-My favourite 2009 livery is the Red Bull

Can’t wait for 2010 now, we might get something like 5 or 6 new liveries with all the new teams- at least if F1 still exists by then. I’ve got an idea for an article to write but I’m going to wait for the end of the season to do it because presumably not many people read this website during the season.

In a non livery related comment, can I just say that Max Mosley is a complete dickhead. Thanks

Seb, when will we see more? I don’t want to nag, but I would really love to see some articles about historical liveries, or at least something!
